Turns out that it is, and has been, legal to incorporate an LLC and have the owners remain 100% anonymous. They would be known to the company itself (of course) and to the company that handled the registration. I said, “Why not look up the LLC to find the names of the members?” Wouldn’t you know… it was an LLC incorporated in Delaware.
